c 1300 [28 Edward 1] "Robt his son and heir aged 24" listed after William Eyre, from a pedigree penes Thomas Birds. [1]

c 1305 [33 Edw 1] "Robertus le Eyr - pro Magistro et Fratibus Militae Templi in Anglia. Inq. ad q.d. & c." [2]

c 1305 [34 Edw 1] William Bagley, the elder, ... maliciously impoverished the king's men,... on that account let him be committed to gaol [jail]. Afterwards he made fine by 20 marks, by the pledge of Robert le Heyr, John de Bradwell, ..." [3]

1336 "Robert Eyre of Hope" (Wirksworth Hundred Rolls) [4]

Familiae minorum gentium, Volume 38 inserts another generation with Robert of Hope between this Robert and Nicholas in the time of Edward III. [5]
