1821 The will of John Pickett Sr, Fairfield District, South Carolina was proved on January 2, naming wife Molly and daughter Susanna Cason. [2] [3] [4]
The will named wife Molly Pickett, daughter Susanna Cason and her husband James. Land, 500 acres, on the head waters of Dutchmans Creek and Wateree Creek bounded by land of John Ellison, William Goins, John Pickett Jr, and John W Starke. Executors: John Ellison, Thomas Boulware, Abraham Ferguson, and Jeptha Pickett. Witnesses: P Edward Pearson, Charles Pickett, and William Moore. Named persons were: Chany (Slave); Claiborne (Slave); Douglas (Slave); Gilbert (Slave); Jenny (Slave); Phillis (Slave); Rose (Slave); Suck (Slave). [5]

1830 James Cason lived in Fairfield County, South Carolina in a household with free white males: 1 (under 5), 2 (10 thru 14), 2 (15 thru 19), and 2 (30 thru 39); and free white females: 1 (under 5), 1 (5 thru 9), 2 (10 thru 14), 1 (15 thru 19), 1 (30 thru 39), and 1 (70 thru 79); and 28 slaves. 1834 James Cannon Cason died on December 28 and was buried at Cason Family Cemetery, Fairfield County, South Carolina. James Cannon Cason was born on May 31, 1788. [7] [8] No image is shown for this record.

1840 Cannon Cason lived in Fairfield County, South Carolina in a household with free white males: 1 (10 thru 14) and 1 (20 thru 29); and free white females: 1 (5 thru 9), 1 (10 thru 14), 1 (15 thru 19), 1 (40 thru 49), and 1 (70 thru 79); and 26 slaves. [9] Perhaps this was a household including son Cannon (age 20-29) and Susanna (age 40-49) John B. Pickett was listed adjacent. Note that father-in-law John Pickett died in 1821, so he is not the John B. Pickett listed adjacent in the census.

1850 Susanna Cason (age 56, born in North Carolina) lived in Fairfield County, South Carolina, in a household with Cannon C Cason (age 36), Elizabeth Cason (age 27), Margaret Cason (age 25), James Cason (age 21), Sarah Cason (age 16), and Susanna Cason (age 56). [10]

1860 Susan Cason (age 68) lived in Fairfield, Fairfield County, South Carolina, in a household with James P Cason (age 30), Margaret Cason (age 35), Sarah Cason (age 26), and James C Raines (age 23). Susan Cason was a planter. [11]

1860 Susannah Pickett died on December 2 and was buried at Cason Family Cemetery, Fairfield County, South Carolina. Susannah Pickett was born on April 14, 1793. [12] [13]
