Notes for Mary Roe

1661 November 4 William Dudley and Mary Roe were married in Saybrook, Connecticut. [1]

1700 September 2 "William Dudley's will, dated 2 Sept. 1700, proved 29 May 1701, mentions his wife Mary, sons William, Daniel, Samuel and Joseph, and daughters Elizabeth and Mehitable." [2]

Wiliam Dudley of Saybrook. File No. 1848. Will 2 Sept. 1700, proved 29 May 1701; to wife Mary, a third of realty for life, all personal estate and dwelling house for life, she to be Exec'x; realty to sons William ('my wife, his Naturall Mother'), Sameuell, Joseph, and Daniell; personalty to my four daus. Abigail, Deborah, Elizabeth, and Mehetabell (the first two have received part of their portions); to son-in-law Nicholas maison, 20 shillings; Deacon William Parker and Brother Nathaniell Chapman to be overseers. Witnesses: John Pratt Senur, John Bull, Daniell Taylor. Inventory taken 22 May 1701 by Nath'll Chapman, William Pratt, and Benja' Lord. Mary Dudley, widow of Deacon William Dudley, made oath 5 June 1701. [3]

1725 May 10 "Petition of Mary Dudley alias Mary Dart to receive her thirds under her first husband's will; refers to her 'old age'; presented by her son Daniell, 10 May 1725. Witnesses: John Parker, Deborah Dudley." [4]

1726 June 15 "The will of Mary Dart, dated 15 June 1726, proved 7 May 1728, mentions sons, William and Daniel Dudley, daughter Elizabeth Remington, and son-in-law [stepson] Roger Dart." [5]

1727 Mary, widow of Deacon William Dudley, died on September 23 in Saybrook, Connecticut. [6]
