Notes for Elizabeth Middleton

1740 The will of Elizabeth Middleton, of Burlington County, named sisters Jane Richardson and Martha Rogers and cousins Mary and Elizabeth Middleton, Mary Staples, Ann Brown, Martha Handcock, Susanna, Mary, Phebe, Jane, and Elizabeth Richardson. Executors were brother (in-law) John Richardson and cousin Henery Brown. Witnesses were Henry Hall, Peter Imlay, and Lydia Imlay. The inventory dated 8 November made by Jonathan Shreve and Peter Imlay showed balance of £18.7.6 pounds with debts due by Henery Brown, Peter Imlay, Henery Hall, and John Cowan. An additional inventory dated 22 November gave value £124.15.9 pounds including bonds from the estate of (nephew) John Rogers junior, the estate of Joseph Grouden esquire, John Richardson and his son John and a prayer book and bible.
