1681 On 6 of month 11, Mary Scholey was the born to Robert and Sarah Scholey in Nottingham Woodhouse New Jersey, Amerrika. [1] [2]

1710 On 6 April, Joseph Wright and Mary Schooley made their second declaration of intention to marry, as recorded in the Chesterfield, Burlington County, monthly meeting minutes. [3] [4] Mary Scholey's mother expressed consent. [5]

1711 On 20 December, Robert Wright and Elizabeth Hyerton were married in Burlington. Witnessed by Joseph and Mary Wright and others. [6]

1713-4 3d day. 12th month (Feb.). Joseph Wright, yeoman of Chesterfield, Burlington County, dated his will. Wife Mary sole heiress and executrix of real and personal estate, and with brothers Joshua and Robert Wright guardian of children, names not given. Witnesses Thomas Wright, John Wright, Elizabeth Frettwell, Jonathan Wright, James Starkey. Proved May 10, 1715. [7]

1715 8th d. 2d m. (April). Inventory of the personal estate of Joseph Wright, £73.12.0; made by Tho. Scholey and John Warren. [8]

1717 On 5 November, Samuel Danford, of Burlington county, and Mary Wright [likely Mary Scholey, widow of Joseph Wright] married at Chesterfield. Witnesses: Rob't Scholey, Sarah Marland, Joshua Wright, Caleb Wheatley, Thomas Wright, Rebecca Wright, Sara Scholey, Thomas Jr Scholey, Samuel Wright, John Mallon, Samuel Scholey, John Farmer, John Bunting Sen, Abram Brown, Jos Furniss, Wm. Wood, Atkinson, Jno Emley, Thomas Harrison, Jno Cheshire Jun, Isaac Ivins, Tho Johnson, Jno Bullock, and Jos. Reckless. [9] [10] [11]

1723 On May 26, Thomas Scholey Jr married Hannah Fowler at Chesterfield. Witnessed by Samuel and Mary Danford and others. [12]

1745 On April 6, the will of Samuel Danford, of Maidenhead Hunterdon County, yeoman,named sons William Samuel and James and Samuel's two sons. Granddaughter Mary Pittman. Son in law Richard Pittman executor he to receive my son Aaron's clothing. Witnesses William Watson and James Clarke. Proved July 6 1745. Witnesses and executor Quakers. [13] Possibly this Samuel Danford.

Research Notes:

1715 Joseph Wright was a member of a survey party of Indian land in West Jersey: "May 25. Father set forward to go home * * * and I went back for Allamucha where I arrived two hours before night and whither after awhile came Joseph Wright, Thomas Weatherill and John Chapman who had been surveying a lot for William Penn. All lodged there that night. May 26. Wright set forward for home. I and the rest having an Indian for our guide called Nomalughalen went upon the discovery." [14]
