1559 The noncupative will of John Howell was declared on 3 April. [1] [2]

In the name of God Amen John Howell nowe deceased late of Wedon in the countye of Buck beinge sycke in bodye but of good remembraune and vnderstanding dyd make and declare hys Testament noncupatyue and laste wyll the thirde daye of the monthe of Apryll in the yeare of our Lorde god a Thowsand fyue hundred fyftye and nyne in maner and fourme following viz That whereas hys father Wyllyam Howell deceased gaue the sayde John Howell in hys Testament haulfe hys goods to dyschardge haulfe hys Legacyes The same John Howell thys Testator bequeathed and gaue the same Legacyes concerninge hys parte & all other hys debtes beinge dyschardged and payde the Lease of hys farme in Wedon and ye reste of hys goodes to James Duncume of Hardwycke hys brother whome he made hys full executor. Beinge then p'nte Thomas Davyes parsone of Hardwycke Wyllyam Edmundes and Rychard Nellson wythe others.

1559 "The same yeare the iiijth of Aprill was buried Jo: Howell" in Wingrave, Buckinghamshire. [3]

1559 The noncupative will of John Howell was proved on 5 April. "Probabtu' fuit suprascriptu' Testamentu' … quinto die mensis Aprilis Anno Domini millesimo quingentesimo ixmo … Jacobi Duncombe Executoris …" [4] [5] The administration of John Howell's estate was recorded on 13 May 1664. [6]
