Notes for Anne Payne

1513 Walter Turney wrote his will on November 9. He bequeathed 20 pounds each to his son George and his daughter Joan and directed the bequest to remain in the custody of his wife Anne. He named his wife Anne as executrix and George Twynho as supervisor. [1]

1515/16 The will of Walter Turney was proved on February 12 in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury. Administration was granted to Anne, widow of the deceased. [2]

1524/25 Anne's cousin George Twynyho made a bequest to Anne in his will, written March 2, "Item I bequeth to my Cosyn Anne Stone the wife of John Stone of Slysbury vj li xiij s." [3]

1536 Anne Stone of the city of Sarum, widow, wrote her will on April 7. [4]

1536 The will of Anne Stone was proved on November 9. [5]
