Prudence Kirkbride was married to Capt. Edward Thomas (born 1750, died 6/25/1797). Capt. Thomas fought in the Revolutionary War. Edward and Prudence had a son, Hartshorne R. Thomas, who in turn had a son named Edward Kirkbride Thomas, a Detroit landscape painter, who was also held several military positions. [1]
