Research Notes:

Homer and Gertrude Chadwick were enumerated in Lenox, Madison County, New York, in the 1892 census of New York. [12]. In the 1900 U.S. census, Homer was living with his parents Moses and Mary Chadwick and a sister Pearl in Lenox, Madison County, New York. [13]. In 1904, Homer married Anna C. Williams in Norwood, New York. [14] In the 1910 U.S. census, Homer was enumerated with his wife Anna and his sister Pearl in Lenox, Madison County, New York. [15] Thus, it appears, that Gertrude was not a widow, as stated in the marriage record, when she married Frederick Smith Miles. Perhaps she and Homer were divorced between 1892 and 1897. Homer died in Canastota, New York, on June 27, 1953. [16]
