Research Notes:

Elizabeth's heritage was French. Her great grandfather was Marc du Sauchoy (Elizabeth/Job/Marcus/Marc du Sauchoy), a Huguenot immigrant from Leiden Holland to New Amsterdam. [5] The surname du Sauchoy has many variations. It has been spelled as du Sauchoy/Disosway/Dusowa/du Soisson. Reports that Elizabeth was Seminole Indian are apparently in error.
