1820 James Mckinney lived in Rutherford County, North Carolina in a household with free white males: 1 (under 10) and 1 (26 thru 44); and free white females: 1 (16 thru 25); and 10 slaves. [1]

1820 James Mc Kinney lived in Rutherford County, North Carolina in a household with free white males: 1 (16 thru 25) and 1 (45 and over); and free white females: 1 (45 and over); and 8 slaves. [2]

1830 James McKenney lived in Greenville County, South Carolina in a household with males: 1 (under 5), 1 (5 thru 9), and 1 (30 thru 39); and females: 2 (under 5) and 1 (20 thru 29). [3]

1840 James Mckenney lived in Greenville County, South Carolina in a household with free white males: 2 (10 thru 14) and 1 (40 thru 49); and free white females: 1 (5 thru 9), 1 (10 thru 14), and 1 (30 thru 39); and 9 slaves. [4]

1848 Daughter Eliza Jane McKinney Taylor died on August 20 and was buried at Taylor-McKinney Cemetery, Greenville County, South Carolina. Eliza Jane McKinney Taylor was born on August 15, 1829. [5][6]

1850 James McKenny (age 58, born in South Carolina) lived in Greenville County, South Carolina, in a household with Susan McKenny (age 30), and Jane Tayler (age 3). [7]

1855 The will of James McKinney of Greenville, South Carolina was dated on November 28. The will was proved on September 16, 1861. The will named daughter Jane Taylor, wife of William F Taylor and mother of Jane. Son William McKinney was named as trustee for grand-daughter Jane and for wife Susan, who was described as a lunatic. The balance was to be divided between William McKinney and daughter Lucinda Taylor. William McKInney and friend David Hoke were named executors. [8]

1860 James Kinney (age 69, born in South Carolina) lived in Enoree, Greenville County, South Carolina, in a household with Susan Kinney (age 60). James Kinney's occupation was farmer. [9]

1861 James McKinney died on May 30, 1861 and was buried at Taylor-McKinney Cemetery, Greenville County, South Carolina. [10] [11]

1872 James N. Taylor, spouse of Lucinda, died on February 4 and was buried at Taylor-McKinney Cemetery, Greenville County, South Carolina. James N. Taylor was born on April 10, 1828. [12] [13]

1876 Susannah McKinney, wife of James McKinney, died on November 10, 1876 and was buried at Taylor-McKinney Cemetery, Greenville County, South Carolina. [14] [15]

1911 Lucinda McKinney Taylor died on June 5 and was buried at Mush Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Greenville County, South Carolina. Lucinda McKinney Taylor was born on January 6, 1831. [16] [17]
