1830 Alexander Baldridge lived in Rutherford County, North Carolina in a household with free white males: 1 (60 thru 69); and free white females: 1 (50 thru 59); and 2 slaves. [1]

1830 Reed Cockran lived in Rutherford County, North Carolina in a household with males: 1 (under 5) and 1 (20 thru 29); and females: 1 (20 thru 29). [2]

1837 The will of Alexander Baldridge named his wife Jane and daughter Jane spouse of James C. Goluck and mentioned his unnamed granchildren by daughter Nancy spouse of William Allen and by daughter Rebekah spouse of John Allen. Alexander Baldridge lived at Rutherford County, North Carolina. [3]

The daughters named in these two deeds might be for this couple or for Rebekah and John Allen. Several other researchers have assigned them to this couple, so we have too.

1846 Daughter Jane and William Cochran sold land to J M Logan, all of Rutherford County. The land was from the estate of Jane's grandfather Alexander Baldridge and was on the waters of Big Camp Creek adjoining lands of Fran?gan and John Carson. Witnessed by Alj Logan and (RO?)bert A Cockran. [4]

1845 Reed Cockran and wife Mary D (Polly?) of Rutherford County, heirs at law of Alexander Baldridge, sold land from the estate to James M Logan. [5]

1850 Reid Cochran (age 45, born in North Carolina) lived in McDowell County, North Carolina, in a household with Mary Cochran (age 42), James Cochran (age 19), Robert Cochran (age 15), Mary E Cochran (age 16), Thomas J Cochran (age 11), Jane Cochran (age 8), Nancy Cochran (age 6), Enoch E Cochran (age 3), and Joseph W Cochran (age 0). Reid Cochran was a farmer. [6]

1860 Reed Cochran (age 54, born in North Carolina) lived in Sulphur Spring, Polk County, Arkansas, in a household with Mary Cochran (age 52), Thomas Cochran (age 21), Jane Cochran (age 18), Enoch Cochran (age 13), Wesley Cochran (age 10), and Levi Mitchel (age 18). Reed Cochran was a farmer. [7]

1870 Reed Cochran (age 66, born in North Carolina) lived in Beat 4, Lamar County, Texas, in a household with Polly Cochran (age 61), Enock Cochran (age 23), Wm Bransky (age 8), Laura Davis (age 26), M A L Davis (age 4), Georgianna Davis (age 2), and Paul Whitlow (age 23). Reed Cochran was a farmer. [8]

1867 The will of William G Allen named daughter Elizabeth Sarah wife of Adam Spake, daughter Margaret White (deceased), son Larkin, James Allen (deceased, son?), son William, son Samuel?, daughter Rebecca Spake (deceased) wife of Philip Spake. He was likely not the father of the daughters named above. [9]
