1851 John Knight (age 23) and his wife Lucy (age 24) lived in Lambeth Civil parish and Kennington St Mark Ecclesiastical parish in Surrey, England, with John's parents John P (age 57) and Ann Knight (age 53), John's siblings Catherine M (age 19) and Henry G (age 12), aunt Catherine L McKerrick (age 46), and servants Caroline Bradley (age 41) and Charlotte Sayers (age 27). John P. was a Hop & Seed Merchant, John was a clerk, Catharine and Henry were Scholars, aunt Catherine was an Annuitant, Caroline was a Cook and Charlotte was a House Servant. John P was born in Birmingham, Warwickshire, Ann was born in Middlesex St Anne Soho, John was born in Surrey Clapham, Lucy in Devon North Tawton, Catherine in Surrey Streatham, Henry in St "Olive" Southwark, and aunt Catherine in Middlesex St Ann Soho. [1]

1875 John Knight died on December 6 in North Tawton. His will was proved on February 22, 1876. [2]

1911 Lucy Knight (age 85) lived at 78 Clifton Hill, St Johns Wood N W in St Marylebone, London. She was a widow and had 8 children born alive, 2 children still living, and 6 children who had died. Her daughters Jessie Knight (age 45) and Katherine Torrington Austin (age 40), son-in-law John Gasiut Austin (age 60), and a servant Rose Butcher (age 23) lived with her. Daughter Katherine had 7 children born alive, 6 children still living, and 1 child who had died. The occupation of each of the family members was independent means. Lucy was born in Bow, Devonshire, Jessie in Kilburn, London, Katherine in North Tawton, Devonshire, and John in Hempstud Rd, London. [3]

1923 Lucy Knight was buried on April 23 in Camdon. [4]
