Marie Good is bride of Mr. Loescher

Wedding Solemnised Amid Beautiful Settings At M. E. Church

The First Avenue M.E. Church was the scene of a beautiful wedding yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock when Miss Anna Marie Good, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Good. 50 Third street south, became the bride of Vernon Alin Loescher, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Loescher of Tarpon Springs. A large number of relatives and friends attended the ceremony at which the Rev. Paul R. Hortln, pastor of the church, officiated.

The altar was banked with palms, ferns and white tuberoses, and at each side were candelabra with lighted white tapers. White satin bowa marked the pews.

Immediately preceding the ceremony, Mrs. Marguerite Talbot Foster, organist, played Smith's "Angel's Serenade" and Liszt's "Liebestraum." Miss Elizabeth McMichael, sister of the groom, sang Cadman's "At Dawning" and Carrie Jacobs Bond's "I Love You Truly." As the wedding party marched down the aisle toward the altar, Mrs. Foster played the "Bridal Chorus" from Wagner's "Lohengrin" and for the recessional the "Wedding March" from Mendelssohn's 'Midsummer Night's Dream." During the impressive ceremony she played softly, "I Love You Truly."

Heading the wedding party as matron of honor was Mrs. Harlan Gregory, sister of the bride. She was in Nile green point d'esprit over Nile green taffeta. The sleeves were full with tight cuff at the elbow, this of the green taffeta which matched the sash that hung to the floor. The skirt was made full from the knees to the floor. Across the back of her head was a wreath of Nile green flowers. She carried an arm bouquet of pink roses tied with pink ribbons.

The bridesmaids, the Misses Gertrude E. Hastings and Marion Davis Dow, were dressed alike In frocks of blush pink organdie made with three ruffles at the neck and four deep ruffles around the bottom of the skirt. The skirt was hung over pink taffeta, and around the waistline was a wide taffeta sash reaching to the floor. Pink flowers were arranged in their hair and they carried Colonial bouquets of pink roses and asters tied with pink and green ribbons.

The bride, a striking brunet, entered the church on the arm of her father, who gave her away in marriage. She was in a white lace gown fashioned along princess lines and made with a short train. She wore a jacket with long sleeves finished at the wrist, with pointed cuffs at the elbow with full puffs. The tulle veil was made of finger tip length with deep ruffles on the edges. Twisted silk cords formed the crown, and at either side the veil was caught by orange blossoms. A rhinestone tiara behind a ruffle of tulle gave a halo effect which waa most effective. She carried an arm bouquet of white roses snd lilies of the valley. Her only piece of jewelry was a dainty chain and pendant with diamond center, the gift of the bridegroom.

Harlan Gregory was the best man and Kermit Foster and Alvah Belcher the groomsmen. The ushers were Roland Wood and Robert White. An informal reception at the home of the bride's parents followed the ceremony. Mrs. Good and Mrs. Loescher, mothers of the bride and bridegroom. were in the receiving line. Mrs. Good wore a figured chiffon dress with footwear to match and a large yellow hat. She carried a yellow bag and wore a corsage of talisman roses. Mrs. Loescher was in flowered chiffon with white accessories and also had talisman roses.

In the Good home a three-tiered wedding cake topped by a miniature bride and groom formed the centerpiece of the table. Vases of pink and white roses were at either side of the table, and beside these the triple candelabras with pink tapers. Mrs. Mac S. Haines, sister of the bride, was in charge of the bride's book and Miss Ruth Schiller assisted the bride's mother in serving.

Mr. and Mrs. Loescher left later on a wedding trip through Florida, the bride wearing a navy blue ensemble, navy blue rough straw hat and white accessories. The young couple will live in St. Petersburg for six weeks before going to their future home in Hanover, Mass.
