1859 David Owen was appointed to a position in Polk County. David Cockerham and others assured bond. [1]

1866 The Polk County court ordered that D. Cochram be exempt from paying a tax of $3.00 on a sword, knife, and dirk. [2]

1870 Elizebeth Giles (age 20, born in North Carolina) lived in Township 5, Polk County, North Carolina, in a household with William Giles (age 56), Mary Giles (age 23), Martha Giles (age 12), Emily Giles (age 6), John Giles (age 23), and Martha Giles (age 18). The family name was recorded as Jiles on the census. Elizabeth was the wife of David Cochran at the time of the 1880 census. [3]

Grayson Cochran's father was born in North Carolina and his mother was born in South Carolina. Grayson Cochran's occupation was farmer. [8]

1910 William G Cochram (age 30, born in North Carolina, married for 10 years) lived in Justice Precinct 7, Montague County, Texas, in a household with Francis S Cochram (age 28), Charley Cochram (age 27), widowed brother, and Sam Lemons (age 17). 1917 Charley Cochran registered for the draft in Montague County, Texas. He was born on August 21, 1874. He lived with his brother W. G. Cochran. [10]

1920 William G Cochran (age 42, born in North Carolina, married) lived in Justice Precinct 7, Montague County, Texas, in a household with Francis Cochran (age 41), Charley C Cochran (age 44), brother, and Clayton Manaseo (age 18). William G Cochran's father was born in North Carolina and his mother was born in South Carolina. William G Cochran could read and write. William G Cochran's occupation was farmer. [11]

1947 Charlie C Cochran, son of S C Cochran and Giles Cochran, died on October 13, 1947, at age 72, in Ringgold, Montague County, Texas. Charlie C Cochran was born on August 21, 1875, in Polk, North Carolina. [13]

1957 William Grayson Cochran, son of David G Cochran and Betty Giles, died on May 8, 1957, at age 80, in Nocona, Montague County, Texas. William Grayson Cochran was born on March 10, 1877, in Columbia, North Carolina. [14]

1957 William Grayson Cochran died on May 8, 1957 and was buried at Ringgold Cemetery, Ringgold, Montague County, Texas. William Grayson Cochran was born on March 10, 1878. The Findagrave memorial reported that William Grayson Cochran was born at Columbia, Tyrrell County, North Carolina. [15]
