Joseph Thorne was the son of John and Catherine Thorne. [5]

1723 Joseph Thorne, son of John, and Sarah Foulke, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Foulke, published for the second time, on May 2, at the Chesterfield, Burlington County, monthly meeting, their intention to marry. [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13]

Joseph Thorne was a farmer and a weaver. [14]

1727-53 Joseph Thorne held various public offices in the [Chesterfield] township.

1751 In June "A groundless report being spred that John taylor was grate with Sarah thorne by which Phebe taylor was stured up to a sperit of jealosey; and did much abuse her husband; for which he came and made complaint to me of her ...[15]
