c1473 Richard Quartermaynes was born about 1473. He stated that he was age 52 years and more when he testified in 1425 at the proof of age of Thomas Baldyngton.
1400 The dower of Joan, widow of Thomas Quatremayns, was assigned on September 7 in Oxfordshire "in the presence of Richard Quatremayns, John Middelwod, John Shereman, Robert Chapman, Richard atte More and the individual tenants of the manor." [1]
1403 Richard Quartermaynes and Sibyl were married on June 24 at Wilcote, Oxfordshire. Richard mentioned his marriage when he testified in 1425 at the proof of age of Thomas Baldyngton.
1425 At the proof of age for Thomas Baldyngton, son and heir of William Baldyngton, held on May 12, 1425, at Wilcote, Oxfordshire, "Richard Quartermaynes, 52 years and more," testified that he "married Sibyl, his late wife, then companion (socia) of Joan, Thomas’s mother, at Wilcote on 24 June 1403."
