Research Notes:

Nancy Cochran, spouse of Isaiah Pickett, could have been a Ware relative, based on DNA matches among descendants. We have found over 30 DNA matches with descendants of Rowland Ware. Many of those matches are also matched with other descendants of Nancy Cochran and Isaiah Pickett and with other Cochran descendants who might be related to Nancy. Nancy Cochran was reportedly born in 1796 in North Carolina. Perhaps Temperance was a Cochran (among all other Ware siblings, Susanna Sally Ware has only 2 descendant matches potentially related to Cochran-Ware). Perhaps the parents of Nancy Cochran were a currently unknown daughter of Peter Ware married to a currently unknown Cochran. Perhaps Rowland Ware was the father of Nancy but Nancy was raised as Cochran. Temporarily, we show Peter Ware and Susannah Randle as grandparents of Nancy Cochran, while we are researching this potential relationship.

DNA evidence: Several descendants of Roland Ware have DNA matches with descendants of Nancy Cochran and Isaiah Pickett and with other Cochran descendants who might be related to Nancy Cochran. Roland Ware was an adult male living in North Carolina at the time that Nancy Cochran was born. Sarah Jane Ware has matches that are shared with Roland Ware and perhaps Cochran. Robert Wolfe has several DNA matches with descendants of other children of Peter Ware and Susannah Randle, but none of them match any Cochran descendants or other Ware descendants, so far. Perhaps Roland's wife, Temperance, was a Cochran.
