The Book of Wallace states, [11]
John Wallace, apothecary, and Agnes Hay his wife had six sons and several daughters. Alexander, the eldest son was baptized 20th August 1690. Among the witnesses at family baptisms were Sir Thomas Burnett, M.D., and John Cunningham or Barndarroch. John Wallace died in January 1728.
