UNION CITY Applegate-Wright Union "City, June 6. Miss Barbara Applegate, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Applegate and Howard Wright, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wrigtft of this city, were married Saturday afternoon at the brides home north of the city. The Rev. H. R. Applegate, pastor of the Colorado Ave. Baptist church of Dayton. Ohio, and a brother of the bride, performed the single ring ceremony before a fireplace banked with flowers. The bride wore a floor length white lace gown and carried a bouquet of white roses and baby breath Miss Lillian Applegate was maid of honor, and Paul Wright was best man. An informal reception followed for the large group of guests. The couple then left for a visit in Cincinnati and Kentucky, after which they will be at home at No. 1229 West Oak street. Wright is employed by the International Seat Corporation.
Howard Wright was an electrician at the time of his marriage to Barbara. They both lived in Union City, Indiana.

1992 Barbara Mae Wright, widowed, died on December 22, at age 80, in Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana. She was born on December 20, 1912, in Darke County, Ohio, daughter of Elmore Applegate and Arielle M Applegate. [10] [11]

Barbara M. Wright UNION CITY, Ind. Barbara M. Wright, 80, died Tuesday at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, after a long illness. Mrs. Wright was born in Darke County, Ohio. She was retired from the Union City Memorial Hospital where she worked for 20 years as a nurse's aide. She attended Wesley United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, David Wright, Union City, and two grand children. Two brothers and a sister are deceased. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Reichard-Oliver Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery. Calling will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Union City (Indiana) Fire and Rescue Squad through the funeral home.
