Research Notes:

John Simcock and Asenath [Schooley] separated. After John's desertion, Asenath probably went to live with or near her parents in Newton, Sussex County, New Jersey. Newton was within the bounds of Hardwick Meeting, which was within the jurisdiction of Kingwood Monthly Meeting. Asenath died just a few years later, leaving orphaned children aged about 9, 12 and 14. The children probably continued to live with their grandparents until they were grown. Asenath's birth and death are recorded in a bible record. (sources not seen).
