1634 Elizabeth, daughter of John Taylor was baptized on March 4, at Dronfield, Derbyshire, England. [10] [11]
1637 "Marie the daughter of John Taylor was baptized the second day" at Dronfield, Derbyshire, England. Dated February 2, 1636/37. [12]
1639 John, son of John Taylor was baptized on April 11, at Dronfield, Derbyshire, England. [13]
1641 Catherine, daughter of John Taylor was baptized on August 26, at Dronfield, Derbyshire, England. [14]
1642 William, son of John Taylor was baptized on November 16, at Dronfield, Derbyshire, England. [15]

Research Notes:
We are researching Samuel Taylor [23], who emigrated to New Jersey and married Susannah Horseman. Samuel Taylor was the son of Robert Taylor of Dore, Derbyshire, England, as proven by the will of Robert Taylor.
John Taylor and Catherine Bate have been reported by other researchers as the parents of Samuel Taylor [24] of New Jersey. Such reports are incorrect. Samuel Taylor was a son of Robert Taylor, brother of John. We have seen reports of Samuel Taylor, baptized on 10 November 1657 as a son of John Taylor and Catherine Bate [25]. No such baptism is listed in the Dronfield parish record for 1657, or any other date that we could find [26]. We would like to hear of evidence about this possible baptism. John Taylor [27] and Joan Allen have been named by some researchers as the parents of John Taylor of Derbyshire.
