1852 The will of Absolom Pence was recorded in Gilmer County, Georgia court on July 5. The will was dated January 30, 1852. The will bequeathed the entire estate to wife Frances Pence and upon her death "the estate to be equally divided between my daughters Malinda Debord Susan Alvina Wells Mary Emily Hill Lusinda Pence [space] my sons I have already provided for, that is Leroy Pence, Caleb Posey Pence, Andrew Calaway Pence. I have given them lands to the amount of their part of my estate." [6]

1852 Absolom Pence died on January 31 and was buried at Pence Hill Cemetery, Gilmer County, Georgia. Absolom Pence was born in 1797. [7] [8]

1852 Frances Pence, Abner Waters, and Joshua Sumner provided security for the administrators of the estate of Absolumm Pence in Gilmer County, Georgia. Frances was poointed as administratrix. Dated July 5. [9]

1852 The inventory for the estate of Absolom Pence was dated on November 9, in Gilmer County, Georgia. The inventory was filed vy JP Cole, NR Osborn, JJ Withrow, AP Miller, and SV Gates. The inventory listed notes on hand of William Hill and Seburn Hill. [10]

The estate sale recorded purchases by Leroy Pence, Calaway Pence, Posey Pence, AP Miller, Abner Waters, S Waters, and others. [11]

Research Notes:

Perhaps Seburn Hill, named with notes in the inventory, was the spouse of daughter Mary Emily Hill. Perhaps Leroy and Caloway Pence, who purchased items at the estate sale, were sons of Absolom.
