Bowers, Valentine (defendant) and Bowers, Mary nee Raver (plaintiff) married 1819 Fairfield County Ohio by Valuntine Donaldson, divorced 6/3/1839 she was abandoned. While Valentine was still married to Mary he married circa 1832 to Lizzie Kistler and had several children. [1]

1825 William Raver purchased land in Violet Twp, Fairfield County, Ohio, from Jacob Smith and wife Caty, Frederick Reber and wife Caty, Voluntine Bowers and wife Mary, John Bowers and wife Margaret, Anny Raver, and Christopher Raver. Dated August 29. Signed by Jacob Smith, Caty Smith, Frederick Raver, Caty Raver, Voluntine Bowers, Mary Bower, John Bower, Margaret Bower, Ann Raver, and Christopher Raver. Witnessed by Voluntine Donaldson and John Basel. [2]

1830 Mary Bowers lived in Violet Twp, Fairfield County, Ohio in a household with females: 1 (40 thru 49). [3]

1850 The estate of Mary Bowers Raver was settled. The documents used the name Mary Raver more commonly than the name Mary Bowers. Many family members were named in the documents: Phillip Nicodemus, Mary Raver Dr to Julyann Raver, Wm Raver, Ira Raver, Isaac Raver, Thrush, Fredr Raver, Chr Raver. [4]
