1870 Susan Kauffman (age 30, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Keithsburg Twp, Mercer County, Illinois, in a household with John J Kauffman (age 36), Emma M Kauffman (age 11), Edwin Kauffman (age 9), John M Kauffman (age 7), William Kauffman (age 4), and Grace Kauffman (age 2). [5] [6]

Kaufman (age 19), John M. Kaufman (age 16), William T. Kaufman (age 14), Ina G. Kaufman (age 12), and Mabel V. Kaufman (age 3). Susan E. Kaufman's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. [7] [8]
1890 Susanna was named as Mrs J J Kauffman in an obituary for her sister, Amanda Wolff Humphreys, who died on August 2, 1890 and was buried at Keithsburg Greenmound Cemetery Keithsburg, Mercer County, Illinois. [9]

1900 Susan Kauffman (born in Pennsylvania in Oct 1839, married for 42 years), wife, lived in Keithsburg Twp, Mercer County, Illinois, in a household with John Kauffman (age 66), and Milton Kauffman (age 36).
