1750 Samuel Ivins was listed among customers at Imlay's Store in Bordentown, New Jersey. [1]

1751-57 Samuel Ivins was a resident of Bordentown Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. [2]

1752 Samuel Ivins and Jemimah Page, both of Chesterfield, Burlington County, got a New Jersey marriage license. William Ivins was fellow bondsman. License dated October 18. [3] [4]

1754 A son was born to Samuel and Mima Ivins on October 15. [5]

1755 Samuel Ivins sold his share of jointly held land land to William Ivins, for 5 shillings. Dated December 10, 1755. They were brothers, late of Chesterfield, but now of Chester, Burlington County, New Jersey. Samuel and William Ivins had purchased the land from Jonathan Borden on May 5, 1752. A map on the deed reported the 91 acre tract was adjacent to lands of Thos. Hackney, Philip Wallis, Hugh Hollinshead, Edmond Hollinshead, and Samuel Ivins. Samuel Ivins personally affirmed the deed on December 2, 1796. [6]

1766 Samuel, Thomas, William, and Isaac Ivins were named as receiving payment from the estate of John Schooley, who died in Chesterfield Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey in 1748. [7]

1773 Samuel Ivins was bondsman for the estate of Ezekiel Ivins, administered by Sarah Ivins, widow, all of Chester Twp, Burlington County. Dated January 4. [8]

1774 Samuel Ivins was taxed in Chester Twp, Burlington County, for 100 acres of land and 9 cattle and horses. [9]

1774 Samuel Ivins, perhaps this one, was collector for Chester Twp, Burlington County. [10]

1781 John Sharp and Acsah Ivins both of Chester, were married on March 19. [11]

1793 Samuel Ivins witnessed the will of William Newbold in Chesterfield Twp, Burlington County. [12]

1796 Samuel Ivins and William Woods specified the boundary between their lands, which had been in dispute, previously. The land was adjacent to land of Edward Page and was near to Chapmans Mills. Dated August 3, 1796. [13]

1796 Samuel Ivins and Samuel Ivins Jr were taxed in Chesterfield Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. [14]

1799 Samuel Ivins made inventory for the estate of Mary Hackney of Chester, Burlington County on May 31. [15]

1799 The will of Samuel Ivins of Chester Twp, Burlington County, dated September 6 and inventory dated January 28, 1800, named wife Jemimah, son David, son Isaac and unnamed daughters. Witnessed by Amos Ivins, John Cox, and Esther Ivins. [16] Inventory $327.30 by John Haines and Thomas Bishop on Jan 28. [17]

1800 Jemima Ivins, of Chester Twp, sold land to Amos Ivins. Samuel Ivins and brother William had purchased the land from John Borden in 1752. [18]

1802 Jemimah Ivins, sole executor of Samuel Ivins of Burlington County, deceased, reported the account of the estate to the Burlington County Orphans' Court. Assets were from sale of 15½ acres of land to Amos Ivins. Payment was made to Isaac Ivins for his legacy. Dated November 2. [19]

1822 The will of Jemima Ivins, widow, of Chester Twp, Burlington County, was dated February 9. The will named son David Ivins, daughter Sarah Astin [perhaps daughter Sarah's second marriage], daughter Lydia Gill, daughter Acsa Sharp, daughter Mary Brown, and daughter Jemima Beck. Affirmed by a witness on July 13, 1822. George French Esq. was sole executor. [20]

1779 Another possible marriage was Samuel Ivins and Phineas (Phinehas) Kirkbride, both of the County of Burlington...[bound to]... William Livingston, Governor... 500 pounds... 11 Jan 1779. ... Contract of Marriage between the s'd Samuel Ivins... and Sarah Applegate... [w] Rob: Burchan. Note that the name Applegate also appears on a marriage record of Acsah Ivins and John Sharp.

1781 "A certificate was requested to recommend Jamima Evens to the Monthly meeting held at Haddonfield, therefore Isaac Evens is directed to prepare one agreeable to the account he may receive from the Women & produce it to next meeting." Dated 9th of 8th mo 1781 at Evesham meeting, Burlington County. [21] [22] The certificate was approved at the meeting dated Dated 6th of 9th mo 1781 at Evesham meeting, Burlington County. [23]

Edward and Rebecca Page have been named, by some researchers, as the parents of Jemima Page.

1803 The account of Isaac Ivins, perhaps the son of Samuel Ivins and Jemimah Page, was recorded in Gloucester County, New Jersey.

1803 March 15, Isaac Ivins, of Waterford Twp, Gloucester County. Intestate. Adm'r—David Ivins. Fellow bondsmen—John Osier and Isaac Kay; all of said County. [24]
