1825 Sarah Wolf, child of Christian Wolf and Sarah Wolf, was baptized on April 1, 1826, in Bethany United Church of Christ, Ephrata Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Sarah Wolf was born on October 4, 1825, in Pennsylvania. [1] [2]

1848 Anna E Mellinger, daughter of Henry and Sarah (Wolf) Mellinger, was born on July 17 in Fayetteville, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. [3]

1850 Sarah Mellinger (age 25, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Greene Twp, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Henry Mellinger (age 31), Anne E Mellinger (age 2), David Markweard (age 25), Harmon Slading (age 45), and Caroline Mackward (age 26). [4]

1853 Christian Wolff, of South Middleton Twp, Cumberland County, dated his will on April 21. He made bequests to his wife Sarah and 14 children: Catherine, intermarried with Jenkin Lewis; Susan, intermarried with William Dean; Adam Wolf; Christian Wolf; John Wolf; Jacob Wolf; Rebecca (now a widow); Elizabeth, intermarried with John Youndt; George Wolf; Sarah intermarried with Henry Mellinger; Maria, intermarried with Lewis Sponsler; Ann Wolf; Ruben Wolf; Edward L Wolf; and to Christian and Mary, children of deceased son Henry. [5]

1860 Sarah Mellinger (age 33, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Mount Carroll Twp, Carroll County, Illinois, in a household with Henry Mellinger (age 38), Anna Mellinger (age 12), Edward Mellinger (age 10), Emma Mellinger (age 8), Sarah Mellinger (age 5), and Grace Mellinger (age 3). [6]

1870 Sarah Mellinger (age 44, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Cherry Grove Twp, Carroll County, Illinois, in a household with Anna Mellinger (age 21), Edward Mellinger (age 19), Emma Mellinger (age 17), Ela Mellinger (age 15), Alice Mellinger (age 11), Mary Mellinger (age 8), William Mellinger (age 3), and Henry Mellinger (age 50). [7]

1875 Sarah Mellinger died in 1875 and was buried at Lanark City Cemetery Lanark, Carroll County, Illinois. [8] [9]

1880 Henry Mellinger (age 60, born in Pennsylvania, married) lived in Sterling Twp, Whiteside County, Illinois, in a household with Ella Mellinger (age 22), Mazie Mellinger (age 17), Edward Mellinger (age 25), William Mellinger (age 12), Benjamin Swab (age 22), and Alice Swab (age 21). Henry Mellinger's parents were both born in France. Henry Mellinger's occupation was farmer. [10]

1900 Henry Mellinger (born in Pennsylvania in 1818, widowed), father in law, lived in Cherry Grove Twp, Carroll County, Illinois, in a household with John R Wolf (age 49), Emma C Wolf (age 47), Sibyl C Wolf (age 23), Guy Wolf (age 22), Grace M Wolf (age 20), Lloyd Wolf (age 16), Fred Wolf (age 11), and Anna Willfong (age 13). [11]

1902 Henry G. Mellinger died on September 24, 1902 and was buried at Lanark City Cemetery Lanark, Carroll County, Illinois. [12] [13]

A biosketch of Francie Marion Hinds reports [14]:

Francis Marion Hinds, son of Silas and Mrs. Catherine (Burroughs) (Wright) Hinds, born in Shabbona Grove, Ill., May 22, 1845; married in Lanark Ill., Jan. 22, 1877, Anna E. Mellinger, who was born in Fayetteville, Franklin Co., Penn., July 17, 1848. She was the daughter of Henry and Sarah (Wolf) Mellinger.
