Research Notes:

Henry Wolf was listed in several Revolutionary War records:

1776 Henry Wolf was a Private in Captain Albright Deibler's company of the Fourth Battalion, Lancaster County. [96]

1784 Henry Wolf was listed as Second Class in Fourth Company, Fourth Battalion of Col Jacob Cook, Captain David Mc Queen in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [97]

1784 Henry Wolf was listed as Second Class in Captain George Gantz's Company in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [98]

1798 Henry Wolf was listed as a member of the Sun Fire Company of Lancaster Borough. [99]

1776 A Henry Wolf and an Adam Wolf were listed as privates in "A true return of Capt. Albright Deiblier's company of Associates of the Fourth Battalion, commanded by Col. James Burd, Esq., March 14, 1776" in the Muster Rolls Relating to the Associates and Militia of the County of Lancaster. [100]

In the record of a D.A.R. member, the military service of this Henry Wolf has been attributed to Henry Wolff, husband of Anna Domini and father of Elizabeth, wife of John Adam Rudisill, but with birth and death dates for Henry listed as (1762-1841). [101] [102]:

Lineage: John Adam Rudisill (1776-1836) and Elizabeth Wolff (1784-1841), m. 1801; Henry Wolff and Anna Downing [sic], but Anna's surname is listed as Dominy in the D.A.R. database] (1765-1822), m. 1780

"Henry Wolff (1762-1841) enlisted, 1776, in Capt. Albright Deibliers' company, Col. James Burd's regiment, 4th battalion, Lancaster County militia, 1779-82; served several other enlistments under different commands. He was born and died in Lancaster County, Pa."

There was also a different couple, Henry [103] and Catherine (not A Catharine or Anna Catharine) Wolf, likely of Hempfield Twp, Lancaster County, whose children were baptized in Lancaster Borough during this same period of time. Nicholas Wolf, of Hempfield Twp, was perhaps the father of this other Henry Wolf. Henry and Catherine of Hempfield Twp were likely the parents of Henry, born on January 18, 1798 in Lancaster Borough, which suggests that Conrad Wolf, born on December 8, 1797, was a son of Henry Wolf and Anna Catharine of Lancaster Borough. The use of the names Conrad and Bernard for children of Henry Wolf and Anna Catharine is part of the evidence suggesting that Henry of the notes above was a son of George Michael Wolf, since George Michael Wolf also had sons with these names.

Although some DNA matches have been found among descendants of siblings of Herny of the notes above, none are matched with each other or with descendants of Christian Wolf, so the DNA evidence is not yet confirmatory that this Henry is the father of Christian Wolf.
