1891 On April 16, Henery Sperling (age 30), his wife Dorathie (age 28), and sons Henery (age 5) and William (age 2) lived in Smith Falls, Ontario. They were all born in Ontario as were the parents of Henery and Dorathie. Henery was a wagon maker. [1]

1900 On June 5, Henry E. Sperling (age 41) and his wife Dorathy (age 38) lived in DeWitt Village in DeWittTownship, Saline County, Nebraska, with their sons Henry E. (age 13), William F. (age 10), and Albert J. (age 6) and daughter Mamie (age 5). Henry Senior, Dorothy, and the two older children were born in Canada, Henry Senior in November 1858, Dorathy in May 1862, Henry Junior in September 1896, and William in October 1889. The younger children were born in Nebraska, Albert in September 1893 and Mamie in March 1895. Henry Senior's parents were born in Germany and Dorathy's in Ireland. Henry and Dorathy had been married 19 years. They and the older children had immigrated to the U.S. in 1892. Dorathy had had 4 children and all were living.[2]

1920 On January 13, Henry Sperling (age 58), his wife Dorthy (age 56), and their son Bert J. (age 26) and daughter Mayme (age 24) lived at 204 Wadsworth Street in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. Henry, Dorthy and Bert were born in Canada and Mayme was born in Michigan. Henry's father was born in Germany and his mother in Canada. Dorothy's parents were born in Ireland. Henry was a woodworker in a carriage shop, Bert was a salesman in a furniture store, and Mayme was a saleslady in an electrical company. [3]
