Mary's age was 19, birthplace Sanford, Michigan, father William Fuhrman, mother's maiden name Elsie J. Stephenson. Joseph was a truck driver and Mary worked in a bakery. Neither had been married previously, and their residence was 356 Burton Street SW. [1]
1940 On April 19, Joseph Crossland (age 26), his wife Mary Crossland (age 26), and their son Ronald Crossland (age 1) lived in Wheeler Twp, Gratiot County, Michigan in the household of Mary's brother Robert Fuhrman (age 32) and his wife Julia Fuhrman (age 29) and their children Thad Fuhrman (age 11), Barbara Fuhrman (age 10), and Billie Fuhrman (age 8). Joseph Crossland's occupation was machinist in an engine works, and he had completed High School, 4th year. Robert was a truck driver for an oil company. Robert was born in Indiana, Julia in New York and the others in Michigan. All were living in Saginaw City in Michigan in 1935. [2]
1940 On May 7, Joseph Crossland (age 26), his wife Mary E. (age 26) and their son Ronald J. (age 2) lived in Bridgeport Township, Saginaw County, Michigan. [3]
1953 Joseph J. Crossland died and was buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan (Plot: Section B Row 16). The inscriptions is "Crossland, Joseph J., 1914-1953." [4]
2011 Mary E. Crossland died on May 18. The Social Security Death Index states that she was born on October 24, 1914, and that her last residence was Chandler, Maricopa, Arizona 85248. [5]
