1850 David Males (age 26, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Washington, Butler County, Pennsylvania with Elizabeth J Males (age 22), and William Campbell (age 8 months). [1]

1864 On October 26, David Meals died, at age 41y 5m 27d, and was buried at North Washington Union Cemetery, North Washington, Butler County, Pennsylvania. [2]

1870 Elizabeth Meals (age 42, born in Pennsylvania), W[idow?], lived in Cherrytree, Venango County, Pennsylvania, at post office Pioneer, with Wm Meals (age 20), Daniel Meals (age 19), Samuel Meals (age 15), Catherine Meals (age 13), Isaiah Meals (age 10), and David M Meals (age 5). [3]

1880 Elisabeth Meals (age 50, born in Pennsylvania), widowed, mother-in-law, At Home, lived in Eldred, Warren County, Pennsylvania (father born in Pennsylvania and mother born in Pennsylvania) with Daniel A. Meals (age 30), Emma Meals (age 26), and Isaiah L. Meals (age 21). [4]

1911 Elizabeth Jane Morris, daughter of Adam Karns and Betsy Swillinger, died at age 82, on April 28, 1911 in Clarendon Twp, Warren County, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth Jane Morris was born on November 11, 1828 in Pennsylvania. (Death certificate: 34215). [5]

1917 Samuel J Meals, son of David Meals and Elizabeth Meals, died at age 65, on December 31, 1917 in Clinton Twp, Venango County, Pennsylvania. Samuel J Meals was born on August 30, 1852 in Pennsylvania. (Death certificate: 127453). [6]

Research Notes:

Oral tradition and other researchers have named David Meals as a son of Daniel Meals and Catherine Studebaker. We seek documentation to support this assumption. The family of David Meals was not named in the will or estate records of Daniel Meals, perhaps because he died before his father died.
