1687 On 4 August, "Whereas Thomas Ransum of Worksop in ye county of Nottingham and Martha Scholey of Aughton in ye county of York - having Declared their intention of taking each other in marrage att tow [two?] severall publique meetings of ye people of God Cald quakers held att Blyth & Moryatte in ye county of [N]ott[ingham] According to ye good order Vsed Among them whose proceedings After Consideration thereof & consent of both partyes themselues & Relations concernd was permitted by ye sayd meeting - these are therefore to verifie whom it may concern that for ye full Accomplishment of ther s'd intention did vpon ye 4th day of ye 7th month 1687 the s'd Thomas & martha appeared in a solem Assembly of ye people aforesd meet together in ther publique meeting hous att ?ney in ye pr'sh of Blyth and county Afors'd and in order to ye example of ye holy men of god recorded in ye scripture He the sd Thomas taking ye sd martha by ye hand did declare as followes viz friends in ye presence of ye Lord & you his people I take this my friend martha Scholey to be my wife promising to be unto her a loving & faithful husband - and then & there ye sd martha did likwise declare as follows: friends in ye presents of ye Lord & before you his people I doe take this friend Tho: Ransom to be my husband promising to be unto him a loving & obaydient wife & words to that Efect and the sd Tho: & martha did then & there likewise to thos presents sett to their hands & wi'c whose names are hear subscribed being present att ye solemnizing ther marag havi also sett to our hands ye day & year above written. 1689 On 12 December, "Sand Meeting. On ye 12th day of the 10th Month 1689, Charles Hopkinson of Blyth and Sarah Scholey of Worksop both in the county of Nottingham haveing declared their intentions to Joyne in Marriage at Severall Meetings of ye people of God & all things being found clear they have the day and year abovesaid Joyned in Marriage at a publique Meeting of the people of god at Scrooby where the said Charles took the said Sarah to be his wife & Sarah tooke the said Charles to be her husband and wee whose names and hand under written are witnesses of ye same. Joseph Shippree, Wm Scholey, Eliza: Soudom, Francis Ellis, John Johnson, Eliza: Soudom Junr, George Grubbs, Richard Elenson, Eliza Shipperd, Thomas Sample, Thomas Ransum, Martha Ransum, John Bullibarch, Edward Burk Junr, John Seaton, John Tor Senior, James Dickinson, John Tor Junr." 1690 On 6 of month 12, Sand Meeting. Benjamin Ledger and Milicent Watson were married. Witnessed by Thomas Ranson, Charles Hopkinson, and others. [4]

Thomas Ransom and wife were listed for absence from church at Worksop during the reigns of Charles II and James II. [5] Thomas Rawsome was listed at Westhorpe. [6]
