1687 Richard Cornell's father, Richard Cornell, conveyed to Richard, his oldest son, one-half of land at Success and Cornbury, joining Washburn. [1]

1693 "A list of all the officers employed in civill offices in the province of New-Yorke in America the 20th of Aprill 1693" included, [2]

1694 Richard Cornell was the executor of his father's will, proved on October 3. [3]

1695 The Cornell genealogy mentions a "deed from Southwood of land on Washburn Neck, sold to John" Cornell, brother of Richard, dated 1995. [4]

1698 The Census of Flushing lists "Richard Cornell and Sarah his wife, Sone Richard, Daug[hters] Sarah, Elizabeth, & Mary," and "Negros Tom, Lewi, Toby, Sarah & Dina." [5] [6] [7]

1698/99 On 18 February, Richard Cornell, of Success, Flushing, sold to "my brother John Cornwell" a lot by the name of Rockaway in Hempstead, previously owned by Thomas Southward. Witnessed by John Harrison, John Sands and Samuel Ruscoe. [8]

1702 On January 2, Richard Cornwell of Flushing, and wife Sarah, deeded land to Thomas Cardale and Augustin Graham of New York, land in Huntington. [9] [10]

1705 deeds to Allen and Bayard. [11]

1706 deed, Richard of Flushing, gent., and wife Sarah, to Johannes and Phebe Van Wyck, land in Flushing, near Little Neck, and other land. [12]

1706 deed, Richard of Flushing, to Richard, his son, 150 acres in Hempstead, bounded south by Jacob Cornwell, east by Success Pond, with remainder, in default of issue, successively to son Richard, to second son Samuel, to daughters of son Richard, to his brother Thomas of Hempstead, gent., to brother-in-law William Creed, to Jonathan Whitehead, to S. Clowes, and finally to right heirs of Richard; deed, he and wife Sarah of Flushing, to Nicholas Stilwell (son-in-law), land in Flushing joining John Hicks, Dr. Rodman and Jacob Cornwell; deed to Thomas of Rockaway, 10 acre meadow, willed by my father, joining William and John Cornell. 1708 deed to Beekman, 40 x 100 feet at Jamaica, £4. [14]

1710 Richard Cornwell, Sr., contributed to Parish Church, Jamaica. [15]

1719 Richard of Flushing, gent., and wife Sarah, to Samuel Cornell of Flushing, gent., their son, deed one-half lands, houses, orchards, etc., in Flushing and Hempstead. [16]
