1733/34 "Thomas son of Thomas Meakins farmer" was baptized on March 1 at St Peters, South Weald, Essex, England. [1]

1742 "Mary, Daughter of Abraham and Ann Vinten, born Feb. 13th, bapt. Feb. 27th." at St Peter and St Paul, Dagenham, Essex. [2]

1768 "Thomas Meakins of the Parish of Hornchurch in the County of Essex Batchelor and Mary Vinten of this Parish were Married in this Church [St Peter and St Paul, Dagenham, Essex] by License this fourteenth Day of April in the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Eight." [3]

1770 "Martha-Charlotte, daughter of Thomas & Mary" Meakins was baptized on July 29 in the parish church of St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [4]

1770 "Martha-Charlotte, daughter of Thomas & Mary" Meakins was buried on August 16 at St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [5]

1771 "Mary, daughter of Thomas & Mary" Meakins was privately baptized on December 1. "Mary Meakins was publickly admitted" on December 15 in the parish church of St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [6]

1773 "James, son of Thomas & Mary" Meakins was baptized on October 24 in the parish church of St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [7]

1776 "Isaac, son of Thomas & Mary" Meakins was baptized on September 21 in the parish church of St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [8]

1777 "Mary, daughter of Thomas & Mary" Meakins was buried on 8 April at St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [9]

1778 "Samuell, son of Thomas & Mary" Meakins was privately baptized on December 7. "Samuell Meakins was publickly admitted" on December 13 in the parish church of St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [10]

1779 "Samuell, son of Thomas & Mary" Meakins was buried on 27 June at St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [11]

1780 "Mary, daughter of Thomas & Mary" Meakins was baptized on August 13 in the parish church of St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [12]

1783 "Martha, daughter of Thomas & Mary" Meakins was baptized on February 9 in the parish church of St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [13]

1784 "Susanna, daughter of Thomas & Mary" Meakins was baptized on October 24 in the parish church of St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [14]

1786 "Abraham, son of Thomas & Mary" Meakins was baptized on March 29 in the parish church of St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [15]

1787 Abraham Meakins was buried on 23 June at St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [16]

1792 Thomas Meakins of the parish of Hornchurch in the county of Essex signed his will on November 3. He bequeathed to each of his six children, Thomas, James, Isaac, Mary, Martha and Susanna, one humdred pounds of three percent South Sea annuities to be transferred to them at age twenty one. To his son James he bequeathed the lease of his farm at Rippleside in Essex with the crops, stock, cattle, corn, hay, implements of husbandry, and effects thereon as shall be of the value of one hundred pounds. To his brother William Meakins he bequeathed five pounds in consideration of the trouble he may be put to in the execution of the will. The residue he bequeathed to his wife Mary. He nominated his brother William, his wife Mary and his son James as executors. [17]

1794 Thomas Meakins was buried on February 5 at St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [18]

1794 The will of Thomas Meakins was proved on February 18. [19]

1816 Mary Meakins widow of Hornchurch, Essex, wrote her will on December 4.[20] She bequeathed to her sons James and Isaac Meakins and to her daughters Mary Meakins and Martha Jackson, wife of Daniel Jackson of Chadwell, Essex, farmer, and also mentioned her granddaughter Martha Jackson.

1818 The will of Mary Meakins was proved onn November 23. Administration was granted to James Meakins, son and one of the executors, power reserved to Isaac Meakins son and the other exector "when he shall apply for the same." [21]
