Walter Curtis married Mary Cook. [1]

1770 On June 4, Walter and Mary Curtis gave in papers of acknowledgement, which were to be considered, at the Shrewsbury meeting, Monmouth County. [2]

1801 Walter Curtis, of Howell Twp, Monmouth County, dated his will on 27 August. Wife, Mary, various pieces of furniture, one cow and my mare; also all my lands, while my widow; and she is to bring up and educate my 2 youngest daughters, Meribah and Sarah. Sons, David and Cook, each 5 shillings. Son, Ebenezer, 1/2 of my lands, after the expiration of my wife's widowhood; also residue of personal. Daughters, Lydia Lawrence, Meribah Cortis and Sarah Cortis [Curtis], the other half of lands to be divided between them. Executors—son, Ebenezer, and son-in-law, James Lawrence. Witnesses—James Morris, Robert Morris, Benjamin Jackson. Proved Oct. 29, 1801. [3]
