1617 Edward Reavell, son of Robert Reavell, was baptized at Morton, Derbyshire, England. [1]

Edward Revel of Wooley married Margaret, daughter of Ralph Calton of Higham and Shirland. [2]

A pedigree reports Francis et. 17, 1662, daughter of Edward, son of Robert, son of John Revell de Ogston. [3]

1658 Quitclaim by Edward Revell of Woolley esq to brother William, for £70 paid him by William, of right to properties now in William's possession and bequeathed to him by their uncle John Revell late of Higham esq, reserving annuity of £40 left to Edward by his uncle Edward Revell esq deceased and annuity of £5 left to him by uncle John Revell (as above) Dated February 4, 1657/58. 1659 Receipt from Edward Revell of Woolley gent to William Revell of Ogston gent for 50s in satisfaction of all claims. Dated June 25. [5]

1660 Receipt from Edward Revell of Woolley gent to his brother William Revell of Ogston gent for £20 in payment of legacies, claims etc. Dated June 25. [6]

1660 Edward Revell, of Wooley in Derbyshire, dated his will on March 16. [7]

In the name of god Amen the 16th day of March, in the yeare of our Lord 1660 I Edward Revell of Wooley in the County of Derbie gent, being sicke in body, but of good and perfect memory, (God bee praised) doe make and ordaine this my last will & testament; in manner and forme following: first I principally I commend my soule unto the hands of Almighty god my maker hopeing, assuredly through the onely merrits of Christ Jesus my Savior, to be made partaker of life everlasting in the kingdom of heaven, & commend my body to the earth from whence it came to bee buried in a christian manner. And as for my wordly estate I give & dispose as followeth; ffirst I give and bequeath to my belove wife Margaret Revell Twenty marks yearely during her natural life, secondly I leave unto my daughter Elisabeth Revell twenty marks yearely for her and her heires forever, and at the death of my beloved wife Margerat Revell twenty marks yearely more for her & her heires for ever; 3rdly I leave and bequeath unto my daughter ffrances Revell twenty marks yearely for her & her heires for ever, and at the death of my beloved wife Margaret Revell twenty nobles yearely more for her & her heirs for ever, Item I give unto my Brother Revell all my oare mines, Item I give unto my Mother Revell tenn shillings, I give unto all my Brothers & sisters two shillings & six pence a peice to buy each of them a paire of gloves; Item I give unto all my nephew & neices twelve pence apeice, Item I give & bequeath unto Thomas Calow of Brakenfeild, one piece of gold containing twenty two shillings, Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother John Curtis my gray cloake, Item my will is that if either of my aforesaid Daughters bee married before they attained to the age of one & twenty yeares & die without issue, that then the said portion previously given and bequeathed to either of them shall bee given to the survivor of them; Item I give unto Will: ffletcher of Brakenfeild my old weareing hatt, Item I give unto Robert Pursglove(?) of Ashorer(?) my old rideing coate, it is my will that all the rest of my cloaths bee bestowed amongst the poorest of my kindred, according to the discretion of the executors, Item I give and bequeath unto Mr Nixon to preach my funerall sermon ten shillings, and for the rest of my estate, not as yet given nor bequeathed, I give unto my wife Margarett and to my two daughters, Elizabeth & ffrancis, to bee equally divided amongst them, funerall charges and charges in providing the will first deducted; and my will is, that my brother Revell and my wife may bee executors; In testimony whereof I have hereunto putt my hand and seale the day and year first above written, the thirteenth yeare of ye soveraigne Lord King Charles the Second: 1660

1661 The inventory of the estate of Edward Revell was dated the 19th of March 1660[/61]. [8] Wm Revell and Margarite were named executors in the probate record, dated August 2, 1661.
