William Stevenson of the city of Quebec, Mariner Bachelor, was married by Banns duly published to Jane Cromwell, of the same city, Spinster, daughter of James Cromwell of the Parish of St Sylvester Farmer, this tenth day of September in the year of our Lord, One thousand eight hundred & thirty two by me E.W. Nevell Minister of the Chapel of the Holy Trinity at Quebec.

1851 Census St Sylvester, Lotbinière, Quebec, Canada: William Stevenson, a farmer, age (at next birthday) 45, born in Isle of Man, and Jane, age 40, born in Ireland, with children Jas., age 18, Mary Ann, age 16, Robt., age 14, and Thomas, age 12, all born in St. Sylvester. The religion of the family was protestant.

1861 Census St Sylvester, Lotbinière, Quebec, Canada (St. Mary's Road): William Stevenson, a farmer, age 60, born in Isle of Man, lived with Jane, age 55, born in Ireland, and Mary, age 25, Robert, age 24, and Thos., age 19, all born in L.C. The religion of the family was protestent and they lived in a one-story, single family wood house. Robert and Thomas were laborers.

1871Census St Sylvester, Lotbinière, Quebec, Canada: William Stevenson, cultivateur, age 67, born in Isle of Man, and his wife Jane, age 67, born in Ireland, Thomas, cultivateur, age 28, his wife Elizabeth, age 23, and their children Mary Jane, age 3, and Sarah Ann, age 1.

1879 "Jane Cromwell wife of William Stevenson of St Margrets - died on the Nineteenth day of April One Thousand Eight hundred and seventy nine Aged seventy five years and was buried on the Twenty first of the same month and year. By me John Kemp BD clk Missionary. Present William Stevenson Thomas Baily" at Leeds, Church of England. [2]

1881 Census Census St Sylvester, Lotbinière, Quebec, Canada: William Stevenson, cultivateur, age 78, a widower, born in Ireland, lived with his son Thomas and family.
