A court case concerning the "kidnapping" of Agnes' daughters, Margaret and Elizabeth, by her first husband Richard Wakehurst was addressed to the Bishop of Winchester, Chancelor of England. William Waynflete, Bishop of Winchester from 1447-1486, was Chancelor of England from 11 Oct 1456 - 7 July 1460. [1]

1480 John Culpeper died on December 22. A memorial inscription states, "Orate ... Iohannis Culpeper militis, et Agnes vxor eius qui quidem Iohannes obiit 22. Decemb. 1480. quorum." [2]

1484 Agnes Culpepur, widow, formerly wife of John Culpepur, knight, sued Robert Haryngton, of Pynchebek, Lincs, gent; William Haryngton, of Exton, Rutl, gent; Thomas Haryngton, of Exton, gent; Thomas Fosebrok, of Leicester, Leics, shoemaker; William Fossebroke, of Coventry, yeoman; John Alen, of Herteshull, Warws, yeoman, in the Court of Common Pleas in Warwickshire, Hilary term, in a case of forcible entry in the manors of Hertesull, Ansley or Ausley, and Monewode. [3] The case was continued in Trinity [4] and Michaelmas terms, alleging trespass at Herteshull and Ansley and the taking of trees and underwood worth 20 marks. [5] [6]
