Mr. Thomas P. Cason of this county, died suddenly on Friday at his residence, of heart disease, at the age of sixty six years. Tie had been out in the garden at work, but complained of being unwell and came into the house. He appeared to feel better and sat in the piazza some time. He then got up and went into the house to lie down, but died shortly after. Mr. Cason was a gentleman of more than ordinary intelligence, of high character and integrity, and was greatly esteemed by his neighbors.

On Friday night Mrs. Elizabeth B. Cason, an aged lady, died very unexpectedly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. L. Porter, on Congress street. Mrs. Cason was sick about two weeks ago, but apparently had recovered and up to a short time before her death seemed well. The cause of her death was heart failure.

Mrs. Cason had reached a ripe old age, being in her eighty-first year at the lime of her death. She leaves two children, Mrs. J. W. Coleman, of Rideway, and Mrs. A. L. Porter, of this place Ths funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, ine interment being made in the old family burning ground at Poplar Church. several miles from town.

1934 Manie E Porter died on August 5, at age 78, in Columbia, Richland County, South Carolina. She was born in 1856, daughter of Thomas Cason and Elizabeth Cason. [12]

1934 Manie Elizabeth Cason Porter died on August 5 and was buried at Aimwell Cemetery, Fairfield County, South Carolina. Manie Elizabeth Cason Porter was born on February 8, 1856. [13] [14] [15]
