1677 Rachel, daughter of John Clayton and Alice Myres, was born on June 16, in Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey. [1]

Michael Newbold was born in York, England and was baptized at Eckington. [2]

1697 On 24 February, Michael Newbold married Rachel Clayton, daughter of John and Ann Clayton, of Shrewsbury. [3] [4] [5]

1709 On January 23, Michael Newbold was commissioned as justice of the peace in Burlington County, New Jersey. [6]

1721 Michael Newbold, of Springfield, Burlington County, dated his will on 29 November. It named children Thomas, Michael, Barzilla, Ann Beetle, Sarah and Margerett. Home farm, a farm of 300 acres, bought of Nicholas Brown, 600 acres in the upper part of Springfield Township, 400 acres in Hunterdon Co. Personal property (a negro man). Executors son Thomas, ZebuIon Cleayton and Asher Cleayton. Witnesses Wm. Biddle, Mary Cleayton, Elizabeth Bullock, Richard Lawrence. Proved December 15, 1721. [7]

1721 Michael Newbold died in Burlington County on 1 December, 1721. [8]

1721 Dec. 13 and 14. Inventory of the personal estate of Michael Newbold, £678.5.6 including two negro men at £60, £120, bonds, bills and book debts £133.15.10 made by John Wright and Richard Lawrence. [9]
