Lincolnshire Pedigrees states that Geoffrey de Barnrdiston, son of WIlliam de Barnardiston, was living in the reign of Edward I (1272-1307) and had Kedington with his wife, who was daughter and heir of Novo Mercato, or Newmarch. [1]
