Research Notes:

1739 On 6 of month 10, Charles French, bricklayer of Burlington County, and Ann Clement, daughter of Jacob Clement late of Gloucester County deceased, were married at Haddonfield meeting, Gloucester County. Witnessed by Uriah French and others. [1]

1758 The estate of Uriah French, perhaps this one, dated 04 Aug 1758 in Newton Township, Gloucester Co: bricklayer. Inventory, £202.4.5, incl. 6 silver spoons; the time of two 'prentice boys, £20; made by Jacob Clement and John Gill.

1758 On August 7, bond of widow, Mary French, of Newton Township, is Adm'x; Charles French, of Waterford Township, said County, fellowbondsman. Lib. 9, p. 456.

1764 On April 2, Account of Uriah French by Hugh Creighton and wife Mary, late Mary French, Administratrix of said Uriah, who report £20.9.1 on hand.

1773 Charles French, of Philadelphia (son of Uriah, deed, late of Haddonfield), and Rebecca Taylor, of Chesterfield Township, dau. of Jacob, at Bordentown, married 7th 4th mo. 1773. Witnesses: Samuel and Mary French, Jacob, Abigail, Lewis, Charles, Elizabeth, Amos and Lydia Taylor, James Lawrie, Jonathan Wright, Joseph Borden, Jr., and others. [2] [3]
