1594/95 "Willyam Platte" was buried on February 20 in Ware, St Mary the Virgin, Hertfordshire. [3]

1598 "George Platte" was baptized on July 23 in Ware, St Mary the Virgin, Hertfordshire. [4]

1600 "Willyam Platte" was baptized on October 20 in Ware, St Mary the Virgin, Hertfordshire. [5]

1604 "Richarde Platte" was baptized on May 6 in Ware, St Mary the Virgin, Hertfordshire. [6]

1606 "Mary Platte daughter of George Platte" was baptized on March 23 in Ware, St Mary the Virgin, Hertfordshire. [7]

1608 "Elizabeth Platte daughter of George Platte" was baptized on August 7 in Ware, St Mary the Virgin, Hertfordshire. [8]

1609 George Platt of Ware, tailor, wrote his will on April 16 [10]

In the name of God Amen The sixteene day of Aprill in the yeare of our Lord God one thowsand sixe hunderth and nyne: I George Platte of Ware in the Count' of Hertf' Taylor sicke in body but of good and perfecte memory (God be praysed) Do make and ordayne this my last Will and Testament in writinge in manner and forme followinge: that is to say, First I commend my soule into the handes of Almighty God my maker, hoping assuredly through the only merites of Jesus Christ my saviour, to be made partaker of life everlasting And as concerninge my body even with a good will and free hart I give it over commending it to the earth whereof it came, nothing doubting but according to the Article of my faith I shall receave the same agayne, not a corruptible, mortall, worn and vyle body as it is now, but an uncorruptible, immortall, strong and perfect body in all poynts likeunto the glorous body of my Lord and Savyour Jesus Christ; Item I give and bequeath to Mary my loving wife the howse I now dwell in lately bought of Humfroy Packer, during hir naturall lyfe and after hir decease I give and bequeath the said howse with the appurtenances unto my sonne Richard Platte and his heyres of his body lawfully begotten, and for want of such issue, then I give and bequeath the said howse with the appurtenances unto my sonne George Platte and the heyres of his body lawfully begotten, and for default of such issue Then I give and bequeath my said howse with the appurtenances unto my sonne Willyam Platte and his heyres for ever. Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne Willyam Platte my howse that I bought of Stephen Burton of London Grocer, and to his heyres. But my will and meaning is that Mary Platt my wife shall hold the said howse, or hir assignes untill my said sonne shall come to twenty and fower yeares of age, Itm I give and bequeath more to my said sonne Willyam Platt ten pounds of lawfull money of England to be payd unto him at the age of twenty and fower years by my Executrix hereafter named. Itm I give and bequeath unto my sonne George Platt and his heyres lawfully begotten of his body three halfe Acres of Meadow, be it more or lesse, lying in Drome mead. But my Will and meaninge is that Mary my wife or her assignes shall holde the three halfe Acres of Meadow till my sonne shall come to the age of twentie and one yeares. Itm I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Platte the somme of twenty poundes of lawful money of England to be payd unto hir by my Executorix at the age of eighteene yeares or day of hir lawfull espousage or Mariadge which shall first happen, Itm my Will and meaning is that my wife shall educate bring up mayntayne and keepe, with sufficient meat drink lynnen and wollen and what is fitt necessary for them till they come to the age of eighteene years namely my Children George, Willyam, Richard and Mary Itm I do give and bequeath unto Mary my wife all my goods and Chattells what soever, my Debts and funeralls and legacies being payd, And I do make and ordeyne my said wyfe my sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament. In Witnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my hand the day and yeare above written in the presence of us whose names are under written

1609 The will of George Platt was proved on April 28 with administration granted to Marie relict and executrix in the same testament nominated. [12]
