1917 Menno Wenger, age 37, previously married carpenter of Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana, and Ada C Reed, age 28, stenographer of Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana, were married on April 7, 1917, in Elkhart County, Indiana. Morris Peterson was the officiator. Menno Wenger, child of Eli Wenger and Manetta Troxel, was born on September 18, 1880, in Goshen, Indiana. Ada C Reed, child of Elias W Reed (deceased) and Mary Blosser (deceased), was born on January 7, 1889, in Mahoning County, Ohio. The license was issued on April 7, 1917. [1]

1940 Ada Wenger (age 52, born in Ohio, married), wife, lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Memno Wenger (age 60), Clifford Wenger (age 19), Devon Wenger (age 14), and Lodema Harter (age 19). [2]

1973 Menno Wenger was buried at Yellow Creek Brick Cemetery, Southwest, Elkhart County, Indiana, USA. Menno Wenger was born in 1879. No grave marker photo is shown at the memorial.[3]

Wenger, Menno, son of Eli and Mary Etta (Troxel) Wenger, was born in Goshen, Ind, Sept 18, 1879; died at the Elkhart Hospital, Elkhart, Ind, Oct. 23, 1973; aged 94 y, 1 m, 5 d.
On Dec 23, 1903, he was married to Amanda Reed, who preceded him in death on Nov 29, 1912. On Apr 7, 1917, he was married to Ada Reed, who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons (Russell, Clifford, and Devon).
He was a member of the Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Oct 26, in charge of Mahlon D Miller; interment in the Yellow Creek Cemetery.

1984 Ada Catherine Reed Wenger died and was buried at Yellow Creek Brick Cemetery, Southwest, Elkhart County, Indiana. Ada Catherine Reed Wenger was born 1888. No grave marker photo is shown at the memorial. [4]

Mrs Ada Catherine Wenger, 96, 1348 Greencroft Dr, Goshen, died at 8:20 pm Saturday at Greencroft Nursing Center, where she had been a patient one week. She had been ill since Christmas.
A homemaker, she was born Jan 7, 1888, in Mahoning County, Ohio, the daughter of Elias and Mary (Blosser) Reed.
She married Menno Wenger April 7, 1917. He died Oct. 23, 1973.
She was the oldest member of the Yellow Creek Mennonite Church.
She is survived by two sons, Clifford H, Elkhart, and Paul Devon (Zeke), both of Goshen; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Will (Louella) Jones, Eldorado, Kan, and Mrs Jesse (Esther) Riffe, Texahoma, Tex, and a brother, Paul Reed, Laguna Hills, Calif.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Russell Wenger, three brothers, Allen, Clayton and Homer Reed, and two sisters, Mrs Martha Linhoss and Mrs Hannah Yoder.
Services were held at 11 am Tuesday at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church with the Rev Bob Detweiler, pastor, officiating. Burial was made in Yellow Creek Cemetery North.
Memorial contributions may be made to Yellow Creek Church. Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
