1684 John Bruer [Brewer?], child of John Bruer and Sary, was born on March 31, 1684 in All Hollows Parish, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. [1] [2] [3]

1704 John Brewer and Dinah Battee were married on February 14, at Westminster Parish, Anne Arundel, Maryland [4], recorded February 18 at All Hollows Parish [5] [6]. John Brewer and Dinah Battee left four sons and four daughters [7] [8]

1707 Elizabeth Brewer, daughter of John and Dinah Brewer, was born on September 12. [9] She was baptized on November 5 at Westminster parish in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. [10] [11] [12]

1709 John Brewer, son of John and Dinah Brewer, was born on May 7. He was baptized on June 8, 1709, in Anne Arundel County, Maryland [13]

1711 Ninian Magruder sold land to John and Joseph Brewer on August 10. "Wittnesseth th't whereas John Brewer late of Annard'll County dec'd father of ye above named John Brewer party to these presents did by his last will and testament give & bequeath unto ye child wherew'th his wife Sarah Brewer then went one hundred & fifty acres of land to be taken out of seven hundred acres of land by ye s'd will given to his s'd son J'n Brewer party hereto w'th S'd two hundred fifty acres of land was by ye s'd will to be taken from ye land next adjoining to ye line ' known by name of Edward Selbus line w'ch child above named is ye s'd Eliz'a wife to ye above s'd William Magruder, ordaining all in this s'd will that if either of his children die without issue ye s'd land to fall to ye next heir being ye above named Joseph Brewer as in & by ye s'd will ..." 1711 Sarah Brewer, daughter of John and Dinah Brewer, was born on February 22. She was baptized on July 30, 1712, in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. [15]

1713 Joseph Brewer, son of John and Dinah Brewer, was born on December 17, in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. [16]

1715 John Brewer and Joseph Brewer of Anne Arundel County, sold land to Thomas Odell Jun'r of Prince George's County, on November 30, 1715. [17]

Col. Henry Ridgeley of Prince George's County, Gent'l of Prince George's County by his will give his grandsons, John Brewer, Joseph Brewer, Thomas Odell Jun'r, and Henry Odell share and share alike a tract called Mary's Delight part of Darnell's Grobe in Prince George's County; bounded by land laid out for Richard Robson; Mary's Delight laid out for 500 acres and each heir to receive 125 acres; for 72£ John and Joseph Brewer sell their part to Thomas Odell Jun'r.

1716 Fardinando Brewer, son of John and Dinah Brewer, was born on August 7, in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. [18]

1719 Dinah Brewer, daughter of John and Dinah Brewer, was born on November 17, in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. [19]

1722 Henry Brewer, son of John and Dinah Brewer, was born on April 24. He was baptized on July 25, 1722 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. [20]

1723 Nicholas Brewer, son of John and Dinah Brewer, was born on February 9, in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. [21]

1725 Deborah Brewer, daughter of John and Dinah Brewer, was born on February 4. She was baptized on March 7, 1726 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. [22]

1729 John Brewer, of Anne Arundel, purchased "Jacob's Hope", on the west side of the Patuxent, from William Ducker. [23]

There are conflicting reports about the death of Dinah Battee Brewer.

1726 Dinah Battee Brewer died on 1726 and was buried at All Hallows Chapel Cemetery, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Dinah Battee Brewer was born on December 31, 1690. [24]

1732 Dinah (Battee) Brewer reportedly died on December 21. [25] However, Dinah Brewer was not named in the 1730 will of John Brewer, so this report might be an error.

1730 The will of John Brewer was dated on April 5, 1730 in Anne Arundel County. The Larkington tract went to son John Brewer. The Brewer Chance tract went to son Joseph. The Jacobs Hope tract (formerly Cheney Adventure) went to son Nicholas. Brewerton was to be equally divided by Joseph and Ferdinando. The Collierby tract (where John now dwells) went to daughter Sarah, and then to minor son Henry, after Sarah's death. Daughter Elizabeth Sanders, son Ferdinando, daughter Dinah, and Deborah got shares of the personal estate, household goods, and slaves. James Mount and daughter Sarah were named executors. The will includes court testimony, dated May 13, 1730 with a detailed description of the signing of the will and the death of John Brewer within 15 minutes of making his mark on the will. 1730 The inventory of John Brewer was recorded on June 25 in Anne Arundel County. Many farming and household items were listed. Slaves named: man John Matthews, woman Jane Matthews, man Samson, man Mingo, child James, woman Betty, girl Nanny, girl Kate, Boy Tobias, and man Tom. [30]

1730-36 The Testamentary papers of John Brewer were recorded in Anne Arundel County. [31]

1731 The account of the estate of John Brewer was made by widow Sarah Geist and was recorded on December 22 in Anne Arundel County. Several payments were listed, including one to James Sanders. Note that Sarah was a daughter of John Brewer, not his widow, so perhaps Sarah's first husband was already deceased by this time. [32]

1733 The additional account of the estate of John Brewer was made by Thomas Gassaway Jun and wife Sarah, executrix, and was recorded on December 19 in Anne Arundel County. Sums were received by Christian Geist the former husband of the said Sarah. Paynments were made to Philip Smith and William Black, merchants of London. Account was made of a negro man named Tom bequeathed to son John Brewer, a negro child named James bequeathed to son Nicholas Brewer, negros Peter and Bess to Ferdinand, negro Tobias to daughter Dinah, negro girl Kate to daughter Elizabeth Sanders paid to her husband James Sanders, negro man Samson to son Joseph paid to James Sanders guardian of Joseph, and negros John, Jane, and Ann bequeathed to a daughter. 1736 The account of the estate of John Brewer was made by Thomas Gassaway Junr, administrator of the estate that was left unadministered by Sarah Gassaway deceased lately called Sarah Brewer the former executrix. The account was recorded on March 8 in Anne Arundel County. Payments were made to John Brewer, guardian to Ferdinando, Henry, & Nicho Brewer. [34]

John Brewer, son of John and Sarah (Ridgely) Brewer, was born August 20, 1686. He married, February 14, 1704, Dinah Battee, daughter of Fernando and Elizabeth (Hood) Battee or Batty, the former died in March, 1705, and the latter the daughter of Thomas Hood.

1757 Son Ferdinando may have been imprisoned for debt.

John Brewer IV was a son of John Brewer, III (1686-1730) (and his wife, Dinah, daughter of Ferdinando Battee and his wife, Elizabeth, daughter of Col. Thomas Hood), grandson of John Brewer, II (c. 1654-1694) [and his wife, Sarah, daughter of Col. Henry Ridgely (1625-1710) by his second wife, Sarah Warner, daughter of James Warner and Elizabeth Harris, his wife, and granddaughter of William Harris and his wife, Elizabeth Lee] and a great-grandson of John Brewer, I (1620-1664), immigrant to Massachusetts, thence to Virginia and finally to Maryland. The name of his wife is given as Elizabeth Heathcote. She died in 1668 in Maryland. John Brewer, I, was a member of the House of Burgesses from Anne Arundel Co., Md, in 1661.
