1699 William Sanders, son of Robert and Rebeckath Sanders, was born on September 10 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland [3] William Sanders, son of Robert and Rebeckath Sanders, was named on September 16, at Westminster parish, Anne Arundel County, Maryland [4], also recorded as All Hollows parish. [5]

1700 Twins Anne and James Sanders, children of Robert and Rebecka Sanders, were born on March 16. They were baptized on August 13, 1701, in Anne Arundel County, Maryland [6] [7], also recorded at Westminster parish.

1702 Robert Sanders, son of Robert and Rebecca Sanders, was born on March 15. He was baptized on May 9, 1703 at Anne Arundel County, Maryland [10]

1705 Anne Sanders, daughter of Robert and Rebecca Sanders, was born on May 1. She was baptized on June 3, 1705, at Anne Arundel County, Maryland [11]

1707 Rebekah Sanders, daughter of Robert and Rebecca Sanders, was born on July 25. She was baptized at Anne Arundel County, Maryland [12]

1709 Rob't Saunders witnessed the marriage, on May 19, of Richard Snowden and Elizabeth Coale, both of Anne Arundel. [13]

1710 Moses Sanders, son of Robert and Rebecca Sanders, was baptized on May 14 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland [14]

1710 Robert Sanders was one of 12 gentlemen chosen by the Maryland Court of Appeals to enquire about the "goods and Chattles Lands or tenements Thomas Macnemara and John Mitchell of the City of Annapolis and parish of St Anns", Anne Arundel County. Dated September 16. [15]

1716 Agnes Sanders, daughter of Robert and Rebecca Sanders, was born on February 1. She was baptized on June 29, 1717, at Anne Arundel County, Maryland [16]

1710 Robert Sanders served on a jury in the Maryland Court of Appeals. [17]

1726 Robert Sanders Senior, of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, sold land to James Sanders, his son. Dated April 21. The tract was called "Bachelor's Hope". [18]

1729 James Sanders, child of James and Eliza Sanders, was born on July 21 in South River, Anne Arundel, Maryland. James Sanders was baptized at Westminster Parish, Anne Arundel, Maryland. His paternal grandfather was Robert Sanders. [19]

1735 A patent was issued to Robert Sanders for a 465 acre tract called "Pleasant Prospect" in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. [20]

1735 Robert Sanders bequeathed land, called James's Forest on Gunpowder River, to son Robert Sanders Junior, for natural love and affection. Dated May 21. The land had been sold by Thomas Lytfoot to James Sanders on April 29, 1685. [21]

1740 Deed of John Gassaway to Robert Saunders for and in consideration of 80 pounds being paid to his father for his half acre of land conveyed to the society within mentioned. Now this half acre goes to Robert Saunders whereof the house in which the society or company commonly called the South River Club now stands. The half acre is part of a tract of land called Betty's Park. For the term of 999 years. Dated July 3. [22]

1742 Robert Saunders was named as a member of the "Old South River Club" before 1742. [23]

1745 Indenture - deed Robert Saunders of Ann Arrundell County and Rebeccah his wife / sister of Moses Groome late of Baltimore County to Darby Lux for and in consideration of the love and effection which they have and bear unto the said Darby Lux their son and also in consideration of 5 shillings for a tract of land called Grooms Chance lying in Baltimore County on the east side of the Little Falls of Gunpowder River. Deed dated June 4. Granted on or about 1 October 1687 to Moses Groome (father of the aforementioned Moses Groome and of the said Rebeccah Saunders) for 300 acres. [24]

Annapolis
On Thursday the 19th of March last died suddenly, at her house on South River Neck, to the great Grief of all who knew her, and on Thursday last was very decently interred, Mrs. Rebecca Sanders, (the Wife of Mr. Robert Sanders, senior), aged 75 years; after having fill'd with Honour the several Stations and Duties of Life, which Heaven had assign'd her. She enjoyed, in the connubial state, an almost uninterrupted Tranquility of 56 years, and liv'd to see her fourth Generation. She was a tender wife, a most affectionate mother, a true Friend, an agreeable Companion, and a kind Mistress. Having a just sense of Religion herself, she instilled the Principles of it thro' her numerous Family; and having educated her Children in the Paths of Virtue and Piety, had the inexpressible Satisfaction (which always results from a Consciousness of having done our Duty) to reflect that they were each an Honour to her, and to be convinced that they formed their Plan of Happiness after her laudable example."

1753 The will of Robert Saunders Senior of South River, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, was dated August 18. Probate date July 20, 1755. [32]

To son Robert Sanders, my pt. of land called "Jameses Forrest," 250 A. in fork of Gun Powder in Baltimore County and negroes named Tobit and Jane.
To Daughter Elizabeth, negroes Cyrus and Judy and Judy's child.
Executor: Son William Saunders.
Witness: Richard Foole, F. Linthicum, Thomas Francis Linthicum.
Signed: Robert Sanders.
