1807 Elizabeth was named as the wife of Joseph Marle. Solomon Groves wrote a complaint against the estate of Nelson Reed disputing the payment and lack of title to Clark's Inheritance. The complaint named Nelson Reed's sons Nelson, James, William, Sanders, Isaac, and John Reed and daughters Rebeckah Lloyd the wife of Richard Lloyd, Ann Torrison the wife of John Torrison, Dinah Dudley the wife of Jospeh Dudley, Jane Buley the wife of Mahlon Buley, and grandchildren by a daughter Elizabeth who married one Joseph Marle, to wit Rebeckah Lawrence, a widow, Hannah Marle, Elizabeth Marle, and David Marle. 1666 "John Giles, planter, emigrated to Maryland as a a freeman sometime prior to May 1666 when he assigned the fifty acres due to him to John Gray and Joseph Marley and settled in Anne Arundel County near the West River. It is unknown whether Giles arrived in Maryland as a Quaker; however it is likely that he was converted to the faith by the flourishing community of Friends along the West River Meeting as early as 1668 when the birth of his daughter Elizabeth was recorded" [16]
