Notes for Thomas Wright and Elizabeth Parker

1681 On 2 of month 7 [September], Thomas Wright was born in West Jersey. [1] Thomas was born in Chesterfield Twp, Burlington County. [2]

1686 On 2 March, Elizabeth Parker, daughter of Humphrey and Sarah Parker of the Strand of the Green, Chestwick parish, Middlesex, England, was born. [3]

Thomas Wright, son of Joshua and Elizabeth (Empson) Wright, inherited three hundred acres of land from his father. [4]

1706 On 7 November, Thomas Wright and Elizabeth Parker made their second declaration of intention to marry, as recorded in the Chesterfield, Burlington County, monthly meeting minutes. [5] [6] [7] [8] Thomas married Elizabeth, daughter of Humphrey Parker. [9] [10] [11]

1727 Thomas Wright and James Starkey made inventory for the estate of John Horner, New Hanover Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. [12]

1737 John Taylor and Lydia Wright were married on February 16, 1736/37, at Springfield Twp, Burlington County. Witnessed by Thomas and Elizabeth Wright and others. [13]

1737 On 29 August, Thomas Wright, perhaps this one, was named in the estate inventory of Joseph Steward of New Hanover Twp, Monmouth County, New Jersey. [14]

1757 On 9 of month 12, Elizabeth Wright died. [15]

1762 On February 24, Thomas Wright, of New Hanover, Burlington County, yeoman, dated his will. Son, Ezekiel, a part of my plantation, and he is to pay to his 4 sisters, Sarah Norris, Margaret Bullock, Elizabeth Bullock and Jemima Thorn, £20 each. Son, Amos, the rest of my lands, and he is to pay to his sister, Lydia French, £20, and to his sister, Deborah Foxe's children, William, Jonathan, George, Elemuel and Sarah Fox, £4 each when 21. Daughter, Sarah Fox, my spice box. Residue to daughters, Sarah Norris, Lydia French, Margaret Bullock, Elizabeth Bullock, Jemima Thorn, and the 5 children of my daughter, Deborah Fox, viz., William, Jonathan, George, Elemuel and Sarah Fox. Executors: sons, Amos and Ezekiel, and my son-in-law, John Bullock. Witnesses: Alexander Kimmings, Joseph Kirby, William Harris, Jr. Proved April 15, 1769. [16]

1769 On 30 of month 3, Thomas Wright died in New Hanover Twp, Burlington County. [17]
