Charles Banks states, [1]

Wilmot4 Wass, son of John3 and Ann (Wilmot) Wass of Boston (Thomas2, John1), b. 9 Feb. 1711; res. Boston, brazier, came to W. T. abt. 1737, where he resided for the next thirty years. In this time, he became a leading citizen, occupying positions of trust. He was Deputy Sheriff 1743-5, and Collector of Excise 1759, and was a trader in addition to his occupation of brazier. In 1767, he rem. to Pleasant River, near Machias, Me. where he was living in 1790, but the date of his death has not been learned. He m. Rebecca Allen (67) 22 Mch. 1732-3, who was b. 26 Feb. 1716-7 and d. 29 May 1790. They had the following children:

44. John, b. (1742); d. 1744.
45. David Moore, b. 1744; m. Abigail Nash. Rev. soldier
46. John, b. (1746); m. Norton (191) abt. 1768
47. Homes, b. (1748); m. Sarah Mayhew (352) 20 Oct. 1768
48. Mary, b. 10 Oct. 1752; m. John Coffin.
49. Elizabeth, b. 13 Sept. 1757; m. Joseph Nash 24 Sept. 1773.
50. Rebecca, bapt. 30 Nov. 1760
51. Jane, b. 18 Aug. 1762; m. Matthew Coffin (92) 18 Jan. 1780
