1663 Zebulon son of John Cleaton and Alice his wife of Hallbanks was borne the second day of the ninth month Anno Domini 1663. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

Zebulon Clayton married Mary Hartshorne. [6]

1669 Zebulon Clayton paid quit rent in Monmouth County, New Jersey. [7]

1692 Zebulon Cleayton and John Cleayton were witnesses at the marriage of Abraham Brown and Leah Clayton. Dated 4th of 12th mo, 1692. [8]

1698 Zebulon Clayton was nominated to make tax rates in the town of Middletown. Dated January 31, 1697/8. [9]

1698 The ear mark [used to identify owners of pigs] of Zebulon Clayton was recorded in Middletown records as being the same as of his father, John Claiton. Dated October 31. [10]

1700 July 16. Confirmation to John Stout of Midletown, holding 1-40 of 1-24 share of the Province, as his second dividend in full, 125 acres in Monmouth County as follows: 1, 50 acres on the Westside of Wakake (?) Creek, between Garrit Wall, Zebulon Clayton and Wm. Lawrance; 2, 20 acres, N. Henrie Marsh and Wm. Estall, E. Wm. Laton, W. and S. W. grantee; 3, 30 acres, adjoining grantee, between Cox, Richard Mount and Wm. Laton; 4, 5 acres, N. grantee, formerly Sadler's poplar lot, E., S. and W. grantee; 5, 25 acres in two parcels designed by him for his brother Jonathan, the first on Hop Brook, between Jonathan Stout and Obadiah Holm, the other between the path and line of Nichais an:l Jonathan Stout; 6, 30 a. of meadow at Barnagate, S. W. John Smith, S. E. the Bay, N. E. John Throckmorton's children, N. W. unappropriated. [11]

1717 In May, Asher and Zebulon Clayton and others, signed a letter to the King of England complaining about the appointment of governor Hunter of New Jersey. [12] [13] Members of the Chesterfield Quaker meeting expressed concern, indicating that the letter did not represent the sentiments of the Quakers. [14]

1721 Zebulon Cleayton was an executor for the estate of Michael Newbold of Springfield, Burlington County, New Jersey. Mary Clayton was a witness. [15]

1724 Zebulon Clayton et al sold land to John Brown. Mansfield Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. [16] [17]
